Overview • Candidate Development Program • Preparing A Great Resume Matteson Partners Candidate Development ProgramWe value our candidate resources, taking the time to assist with career path decisions and guidance to enable a better career decision. Our process is quite different from most firms in the search industry for several reasons. On the Client side, we have a thorough due diligence system allowing us to better serve the company and understand the positions needed. On the Candidate side, we have another process to insure we understand our candidate’s need, aspirations, and the fit for the required placement. Our commitment to this process helps to make a better long-term and productive decision. Our Process: Matteson Partners was founded in 1987 on the guiding principle that the search process was only successful when the company and the candidate understood all the factors in a placement and both made the right choice. Our twofold approach addresses critical issues that deal with both objective and subjective issues in placing the right person in the right position. Over time, we have relied on these principles to develop a “Process” that has proven to be effective in placing candidates in good career situations. Our fees are paid by the Client and a majority of our work is assisting Candidates in the decision process. In essence, this has reduced turnover, created Client loyalty, and given our firm a loyal base of Candidates that we work with on a placement and referral basis. Our Program: We recognize the fact that career decisions are sometimes difficult to make and that, quite often, Candidates need assistance in the process. In our Development Program, we provide career assistance to candidates that we have identified as eligible for our career services. This service may include: advice on the interview process, information on trends in the job marketplace, and an assessment of current positions. This is part of our commitment to place top people and there are NO charges for any of our assistance in this area. Part of our process is preparing and assisting candidates for the “right” position. Referrals: Many Candidates enjoy becoming part of our referral base and provide our firm other candidates they consider to be leaders in their field. Our Program formally identifies this as a critical part of our resource base and depends upon Candidates for their assistance. We have found our candidate base a valuable resource in finding top people. This process is completely voluntary and up to the individual comfort level. Referrals are only valuable when they have meaning and validation. We work hard to provide value to our sources and take the time to help our leads understand our Process and the resources it provides. Confidentiality is vital to the process and individuals involved. Our Firm maintains strict confidentiality in all related information and will keep our members anonymous to their lead sources when requested. Involvement in our program is also kept confidential.
